Why Mentoring Matters

“Although I’ve undertaken extensive formal training in the field, the real gems and pearls of wisdom have come from mentoring sessions and working with real-life cases over and over again. That’s why I’m passionate about offering mentoring and case-sharing opportunities for practitioners - to provide a space where the practical meets those “aha!” moments, and true learning happens." - Chantel Yates

From Frustration to Fulfilment: Rethinking SIBO Treatments 💭

Are you treating SIBO with herbal antimicrobials and an arsenal of tools, yet finding your patients stuck in a cycle of recurrence? It’s frustrating, right? You’ve got the basics down, but the long-term outcomes just aren’t there.

This mentoring series is designed to help you break through the limitations of symptom-focused protocols. You’ll learn how to dig deeper into the underlying causes of SIBO recurrence - whether it’s motility issues, microbial imbalances, chronic stress, dietary triggers, or past treatments that missed the mark.

With a shift to comprehensive, root-cause strategies - including nervous system support, microbiome repair, and individualised treatment plans - you’ll transform your patients’ outcomes and your confidence as a practitioner.

Don’t just treat SIBO - resolve it for good. Limited spaces available, so secure your place now and redefine how you approach even the toughest cases.

Common Topics Covered

Below are some of the key areas of expertise Chantel Yates brings to the table, as well as the topics that naturally arise during mentoring sessions. Please note: these aren’t structured modules but rather integral themes we’ll delve into throughout the series.

  • Microbiome & SIBO

In order to treat SIBO, you need to assess and treat the microbiome. This is a key topic we will cover!

Microbial Ecology: Understanding the balance between pathobionts, commensals, and keystone species in relation to SIBO and long term gut healing.

Dysbiosis & SIBO: Exploring the interplay between gut dysbiosis, SIBO, and systemic health impacts.

  • SIBO Testing

Clear guidelines for patients on how to test for the most accurate results and how to read nuanced results (you can't always trust the lab's interpretation, unfortunately).

  • SIBO Variants

Hydrogen, methane, and hydrogen sulphide SIBO, as well as SIFO and IMO (intestinal methane overproduction) - assessment and treatment strategies.

  • Nervous System & SIBO

Exploring the impact of nervous system dysregulation on the development and recurrence of SIBO.

  • Immunity & SIBO

Treatment approaches for highly reactive patients on restrictive diets (histamine, MCAS, salicylates, oxalates, EoE).

  • Gastrointestinal Testing

Integrating breath testing, microbiome testing, and other testing methods into clinical practice.

  • Personalised Interventions

Using microbiome protection and restoration strategies, including selective herbal antimicrobials, prebiotics, probiotics, and diet-based therapies.

  • H. pylori & SIBO

Diagnosing and addressing this common but complex pathogen that often predisposes to SIBO.

  • Coeliac Disease, IBD & SIBO

Understanding coeliac disease, non-coeliac gluten sensitivity, and their connection to SIBO. Explore integrative approaches to support patients with Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis within the SIBO framework.

  • IBS & SIBO

Exploring overlaps between IBS and SIBO for targeted interventions.

  • Reproductive Health: Microbiome, SIBO, and Gut Health

Exploring the hormone/gut health connection including PMS, endometriosis, fertility, pregnancy, menopause and more.

Breaking the SIBO Cycle: A Microbiome-First Approach 👏🏼

This series dives deep into SIBO while tackling broader gut health challenges, breaking free from the endless "kill SIBO/SIBO recurrence merry-go-round.” By adopting a microbiome-first approach, you'll uncover the root causes - dysbiosis, nervous system dysregulation, H. pylori, diet, medications, and more - empowering you to achieve lasting resolution for your patients.
